Growing Boy

It is a tradition to measure the kids on the door frame of Ryan and Kaitlyn's room on their bday. We also try to remember around their 1/2 bday.

INTERESTING FACTS:
Ryan age 2 - 33.5 inches tall
Kaitlyn age 2 - 32.5 inches tall
Anderson age 2 - 32 inches tall

** not too bad....considering.....1 year ago

Anderson at 12 months was 27 inches tall (so, he grew 5 inches in 1 year). Keep in mind....at his 18 month measure Anderson was 28.5 inches tall....so that MEANS....b/w 18 months and 24 months he grew 3.5 inches!!!!!! HOLY COW!!! Ryan b/w 18 and 24 months only grew 1.5 inches.

FYI - This is so significant to us b/c Anderson was "so tiny" from 12-18 months. All the specialists we were seeing at the time were getting "concerned" about his height and weight b/c he was so little. Anderson did not even fall on the growth chart for height or weight (he did not even "register" on the charts!)

Oh, and by the way.....Chiari can have an impact on your pituitary gland, therefore, causing problems with growing and gaining weight. Interesting, huh?

As I bring up weight....I need to get more specifics at Anderson's 2 year well check...that I have yet to schedule (oppssss! not in a huge hurry since we do not vaccinate him at this point....) But, it looks like Anderson gained 3 lbs in the last 2 months! No wonder he is getting so heavy for me to carry! YAHOO Anderson!! Way to go buddy!
