Sorry it has been so long. We've had a VERY eventful last few days.
The good news....Anderson was discharged on Friday afternoon. We were so happy that he was discharged. We decided at the last minute to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, instead of the Park Hyatt. The manager of th Ronald McDonald House (RMH) called us Friday at the hospital and told us that she would LOVE for us to stay and would LOVE for all of the kids stay with us. So, here we are...and based on the past few days events....thank God!
Well, I think Anderson's CSF flow has found his vomit center. Yep, it started. He has started to vomit yesterday. Mima Lois and Popo Larry drove up from Cincinnati to visit....just in time! Anderson threw up just a few hours b/4 they arrived....lucky them ;) Anderson was sick throughout the day and all day today.
We called the hospital yesterday, we talked to a neurosurgeon resident who was suppose to call us in an anti-nausea medication. We get the RX and gave it to Anderson. It worked "okay" through the rest of the day.
Today, as he continued to vomit....decided to call Dr. Frim's nurse practioner (sp?) who discharged us and told us to call her with any questions. So.....we called her....she said the RX we got yesterday is not typically used in Chiari post op patients b/c it is not strong enough (oh great!) She was able to prescribe us the "right" med. We have it to A around 3:00 and he has been sleeping ever since. Poor honey, he has been so sick and puking. Hopefully, this new RX will work.
Need to run....Charlie is running out the door and picking up Mima Sue, Popo Jim, Kaitlyn and Ryan!!!
YAHOO!! Keep your fingers crossed that Anderson's new med helps...he has not be able to keep ANYTHING down today.
Off to do more laundry too....ha, ha, ha! ;)
